What Are Swine Flu Symptoms?

The World Health Organization (WHO) is warning about the possibility of a swine flu pandemic, and local schools are preparing to vaccinate children against the H1N1 virus.

But would you know if you had it?

The website, WebMD.com, says swine flu symptoms are like regular flu symptoms.

They include fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, body aches, headache, chills, and fatigue. Many report diarrhea and vomiting.

Nearly everyone with flu has at least two of these symptoms.

But these symptoms can be caused by other conditions, too.

Only lab tests can definitively prove that you have swine flu. But lab tests are being reserved for patients with severe flu symptoms.
